yes that’s possible with audiorelay, you should be able to see the mic on the server. are you on windows?

@@MadhuKraft yes I’m on windows ,and yes I have my input set as my headset in relay, but when I open up discord it doesn’t pick up anything?

Actually it is really simple if you have access to the terminal I’m not sure if a NAS lets you do that. But it really is as simple as copying the entire folder that has all the docker configuration and volumes in it to another place, but you need to use rsync. the command is “rsync -av source destination”. The reason why it might not work by normally copying is because maybe permissions and other metadata isn’t copied

@MadhuKraft man, you have the speed of light. I'm not sure cause I'm not tech savvy, but I think you cannot use terminal in DSM. I saw there's a guide on immich's site on how to backup and restore DB but I couldn't understand where to use commands. Usually, to get containers working inside the container manager, I just follow tutorials, create some folders and edit the yml and env files they provide. No terminal used. I noticed that, the last time I put up immich (unfortunately only after I had to reinstall it, even if before was just a test so I've lost no useful data), you can activate a scheduled immich DB backup inside the settings from the Web interface and it gets saved inside a folder nested i the library folder. I think they're zipped files and I didn't have them from the previous backup before reinstalling DSM. But I'm not sure I could just copy and paste them, nor I know if it contains the user, profiles, ... Thanks for replying anyways! Maybe I should just use a different type of NAS or another mini pc with proxmox or something like that

yeah i think the zip files are a better option because they’re easier to transfer and maintain

I wouldn’t recommend restarting your debian server while the minecraft server is running as you would probably lose data in the world but you can make the server script run at boot either by editing the /etc/rc.local file if it is there for you, or by using a cronjob. You could just chatgpt the code snipped to use for the cronjob and have it run every time you boot your computer

Thanks for the information. Is there any particular reason UPNP is unsafe? I thought it would just port forward for you. I agree that using a vpn to access sunshine would be a lot safer that’s what I do

@MadhuKraft so upnp, as you know, allows an application to open ports in your firewall. So if you ever click on the wrong link or download the wrong attachment and some bad code gets on your system it could use UPnP to open up ports so the virus command and control center can have direct inbound access to your network. When this happens there's often no sign of a problem for quite a while. It might just be passive monitoring until the bank information comes out or something. Think about it this way, if I hired you at my company to be the head of security and you were the only person who could open up firewall ports into the network, would you just decide that it would be easier if you allowed allemployees to open up whatever ports they wanted whenever they wanted? Well of course it would be easier but it would be so irresponsible that you would not last long at the company nor would the security of the company. Problem is, when people install games or go online or do things they sometimes get Firewall Alerts saying are you okay allowing this application to do this thing. And people click yes without even reading it. but sometimes viruses can sneak in a second alert so it looks like when you click yes to a trusted program that the click didn't register, so you click again, not realizing you said yes to two different things, the program you trust and then some unknown Shady thing. Alternatively let's say you had an employee at this company that you trusted and you knew had the technical skills and you decided to give them a temporary password that only lasted for an hour and told them open up the port they need because you can't right now and that's it, and then I'm going to take that ability away from you? Well you may find that that is okay. So if you enable UPnP to do what you said in this video, it's not so much like you're risking your entire network at that second, I just wouldn't leave upnp enabled once the port is opened that you needed, turn upnp off. UPnP is close to not being an option in consumer routers. Enterprise firewalls often don't even have the ability to use it because it's so scary

@@MadhuKraft I swore I responded to you! Sorry With plug n play port forwarding your router is allowing not only you to forward ports, but software itself. Viruses and legit. Meaning, I could email you an application to run that would tell your router to open your network up to me. Nothing should be able to open an inbound port to your whole network except you. The original idea was allowing people to run applications without needing to know how to forward, similar to those alerts your get where an application is asking to allow something through your firewall. The reason those firewall alerts arent nearly as bad is because they are firewall exceptions on your pc for specific applications, not ports to your whole network. In other words, the difference between: 'do you want to let this person come into your apartment to fix your plumbing and do nothing else, then leave?' And 'Do you want to open the front door all the way to the entire apartment building and leave it open forever, long after you don't need it, keeping it open indefinitely until you manually change it back?' One is a conditional thing for a reason, the other is a hole. There's more reasons, but I'll spare you. Nowadays, many routers have this disabled by default. I bet it'll be gone as a feature in a few years. Thanks

@@MadhuKraft its more or less the fact upnp is enabled in your router. Not that you’re using it. If you port forward instead of using upnp and upnp is enable it’s still the same security risk.

are you running on windows or linux? for linux you need to install the nvidia container toolkit and for windows you need to update your nvidia drivers for the toolkit to be added to docker automatically

@@MadhuKraft thank you. I am running Linux Mint 22. I added the nvidia container toolkit and it worked.

After looking again I see where you did link them, I must of been too tired when I was trying to set it up the first time.

I had this problem. It's so tough. Try switching browsers, cos I went from Firefox to Chrome temporarily to try make it work. That didn't work either but it did for other people. For me, I uninstalled Sunshine then reinstalled it. For some reason that worked, using Chrome by the way.
